Vlassis G. Rassias passed away

With great sadness I hereby inform you that the General Secretary of the Supreme Council of ethnic Hellenes (YSEE) Vlassis Rassias passed away the early morning of July 7, «2019». He was a wunderful man, a great Hellene and passionate author. He will be missed by many. His contribution to Hellenism was invaluable, his fight for the revitalization of indigenous Hellenic culture can not be overestimated. He fought with body and soul for Re-Hellenization and the rights of ethnic Hellenes. We are grateful for everything he has done for us. He has gone to much trouble and many risks to make it easier for the next generations to be Hellenes, for many of their rights have already been secured thanks to his and other Hellenes‘ dedication to the needs of their people.

Due his virtuous way of life he enjoyed high reputation in all Hellenic collectives and beyond the boundaries of all philosophy schools. He was not only a person of outstanding intellectual qualities but also an unyielding humanist in the classical sense of the word. We mourn for a generous, virtuous man and great member of ethnic Hellenism, and promise to honor his memory. Our condolences go out to his family and friends. We wish him a good journey or kalo perasma, as we say in Greek. May the gentle light of the gods crown his virtue.

YSEE America announced:

«It is with great pain that we have to announce the passing of the co-founder and General Secretary of YSEE Vlassis Rassias. Vlassis Rassias led the movement of re-Hellenization in Greece for the past 30 years by dedicating most of his time into authoring over 20 books, numerous articles, giving hundreds of presentations and interviews. The pain is even greater though because Vlassis was above all a great person and a great friend to those of us that had the honor of meeting him and stood next to him in this effort of raising our Ethnic Religions back up from the ashes. Dear Vlassis we your friends promise that we will carry your fight and keep your memory alive.
Honor and Glory to Gods and Ancestors.»
